Who is Summit Bible College Theater Group?

Entertainment Ministry.  It’s an exciting concept, spreading the Word of God through theater, but not so easily accomplished.  Not only do we equip leaders through theological education & discipleship training, but we also train actors, writers, stage design, and all aspects of theater.  Armed with an intense knowledge of the Gospel and professional theatrical training, we bring Entertainment Ministry to a whole new level as well as preparing Christians with the tools needed to survive in the Entertainment Industry.  We showcase original content, designed to challenge the audience as much as minister.
SBC Theater Group will begin a Theater Arts Discipleship Program for 18 – 25 year olds, to fully immerse themselves in leadership training, theological education, etc, all revolving around theater arts. This will be a Live-in experience, where students will leave home to live in housing provided by the program.  Summit Bible College Theater Group will be producing live stage shows throughout the year and full-time members of this program will get to work hands-on with the projects and have first-crack at auditions.  Top Tear actors from this program can audition to become part of PROJECT 2525

What is PROJECT 2525?

PROJECT 2525 is the name of the SBC Theater Group’s traveling ministry!  All members of PROJECT 2525 have ministry training, but have also made it through a rigorous audition process, ensuring a top shelf Entertainment Ministry.  It’s a high octane live experience, involving biblically grounded sketch comedy, intense drama, and film; all designed for one purpose:  to push forth the Kingdom of God.  We believe all talent is a gift from God and should be utilized to proclaim the Gospel; and we accomplish just that in a unique & fun way.  It’s more than just entertainment, but PURPOSEFUL entertainment.
*Current SBC Students can audition for the 2013 summer tour.  Contact theaterarts@summitbiblecollege.com if interested.

How can I have PROJECT 2525 perform at my church?

Simply contact  theaterarts@summitbiblecollege.com with your church’s contact information and we will happily send them our Ministry Covenant, outlining all the information they need to book a tour date!

Mexicali- A Vision for the Future

We recently went to Mexicali Valley, on March 6-9th.  We found out that Mexicali Valley is one of the poorest areas in the world and it is about an hour from the US border.

The people, although they have very little, have so much!!!  We met one young man, Gerardo, age 13, who was left by his mother on the streets to fend for himself.  He ended up “drug running” for the Cartel, but now he finally escaped after being beaten badly and abused because of his desire to not do it any longer.

We met him at one of the church services we were conducting and we asked him what he wanted us to pray for and he said:  “Pray that God would bring my parents back”.

This is just one of the touching stories.

I see a tremendous need there in the Mexicali Valley.  The people are very poor and make about $40-$60 per week, AND THE PRICE OF MILK IS $5 PER GALLON!  Although Mexico has improved since I was there in the 70’s (they have more industry and industrial farming), the poor people are living in harsh conditions, many times in flimsy houses that look like shacks.

My goal is to set up a Bible College there in the Valley and educate their leaders in special monthly ‘seminar type’ classes, and have weekly classes for the general populace. This will help educate the people in reading, writing, and oral communication, as well as give them confidence and creative ideas on how to improve their lot in life. I also plan to set up a computer center with 5 computers and a server, so the people can come to the college office and do their work online.

I need a long table (conference style, that would seat about 15 people), 10-15 conference chairs, 20” computer flat screens (5), 3 more computers, 5 work stations, and about $100 per month for internet access. By having internet access, their work will be graded automatically online.

Also, I need support for books and tuition for about 50 students.  The books alone will require about $7 per student per quarter or $350 per quarter and $1,400 per year. The tuition, will be lowered for this group but it will be about $10 per quarter per person or $500 per quarter and $2000 per year.

So, please send your support!  We will be starting classes this July.  Send your contribution to Summit Bible College 2525 M.St. Bakersfield, Ca. 93301, labeled as “Mexicali Project”, or go to Summitbiblecollege.com and pay at our paypal icon putting down Mexicali Project as the designation.

Thanks, and the Lord bless you for your heart! Dr. Victor, President, Summit Bible College

Walking in the Prophetic Testimony

Hi, I am pastor Howard and I want to tell about a miracle that happened to me.

It started Saturday while I was attending the Walking in the Prophetic seminar. I have been struggling with fear and anxiety for a while so I said to God "When I leave here today I want to leave fear and anxiety behind because they are not my friends." At the end of the seminar Doctor Victor said that God wanted to give miracles today so I decided to stay after class.

There was a gray haired gentleman who I told what was going on with me. First he shared his testimony with me, then he began to minister and pray for me. The fear and anxiety left me!

Today I walked in my living room and a song was being played as I sat on my couch. The song said "break every, chain break, every chain" and Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit and said: "that's what I did for you on Saturday. I broke the chains of fear and anxiety off your life." I jumped on my feet and started dancing in the middle of my living and shouting, "I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall be continually in my mouth!". My cat was looking at me like I had lost my mind. This has been a day of victory for me because I am free, free, free in Christ! Thank you Doctor Victor for believing in me.
